The Kruger National Park Anti-Poaching Unit was nominated for the a Conservationist of the Year Award. This award goes to a person, team or an organisation committed to making a difference in advocating for the protection and preservation of wildlife and the environment.
The adjudication of the Awards takes place through an Adjudication Panel and a public voting process. Voting closed on 17 November 2016. The voting was for the GKEPF team and all the Ranger Stations, Air Wing support and the dogs.
