The protection of species is dependent on many things and includes providing a secure environment and habitat for them to roam freely. The Limpopo National Park lies North-East of the GKEPF protection zone.
Limpopo National Park is made up of over a million hectares of vast landscapes. It was declared a national park in 2001 by the Mozambique government. It lost 90% of its wildlife population during the war. The Peace Parks Foundation with the Mozambique Government and financial support from the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development through KfW have sought to sustain its future.
