In September 2025, GKEPF had the privilege of joining the Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), Deputy Minister Narend Singh, for a “meet and greet” hosted at the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.
The session brought together GKEPF and our member management authorities to introduce the Deputy Minister to our collective work and to emphasise the importance of building strong public-private partnerships. Discussions focused on shared priorities, strengthening collaboration, improving cooperation and uniting efforts to address the long-term response to ongoing challenges of wildlife crime across the Greater Kruger landscape.
A heartfelt thank you to Timbavati for hosting, to our management authorities for standing together in this forum, and to DFFE for their openness and engagement. We are especially grateful to Anthony Mitchell, Head of Office and Cabinet Liaison at DFFE, for initiating this opportunity to connect, and to Deputy Minister Singh for making the time to meet us.
