We remember and honour the life of Thimothi Mbowane.
Thimothi lived a life defined by kindness, quiet dedication, and a deep love for his work. After many years of service at Karan Beef, he retired in January 2023, only to later accept an invitation from GKEPF to join our team as a groundsman.
From July 2023 to December 2025, Thimothi poured his heart into caring for the GKEPF Head Office grounds. What began as an overgrown garden became, through his patience and pride, a place of beauty and calm. The garden was his happy place, where he nurtured life and left something meaningful behind for others to enjoy.
Thimothi was gentle, trustworthy, hardworking, and quietly humorous. He made friends easily and touched many lives with his warmth and dedication. His legacy lives on in the gardens he tended and in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by the GKEPF family.
