GKEPF extends its sincere thanks to Frame the Wild for including GKEPF as a beneficiary of its recent art exhibition held at Native Visions Galleries in Naples, Florida, and for the generous donation made in support of conservation efforts across the Greater Kruger landscape.
The exhibition brought together artists, conservation supporters, and members of the community through a shared appreciation for wildlife and wild spaces, using art as a platform to raise awareness and generate support for conservation initiatives. GKEPF also extends its thanks to Native Visions Galleries and Jaco van Schalkwyk for their role in supporting and facilitating the initiative.
The donation of ZAR30,000 has been allocated to GKEPF’s unrestricted operational funding, allowing resources to be directed where they are needed most. The contribution has already supported the replacement of ageing aviation headset equipment used within GKEPF’s fixed-wing air support programme.
Aerial support continues to play an important role across the Greater Kruger landscape, assisting Management Authorities through proactive patrols, wildlife monitoring, identifying high-risk areas, supporting operational planning, and helping improve response capability across large and often difficult-to-access areas.
Contributions such as this provide valuable flexibility, allowing GKEPF to direct resources where they are needed most and respond to emerging priorities across the Greater Kruger landscape. Support for operational equipment, monitoring, and coordination helps strengthen the collective efforts of Management Authorities and partners working to protect this shared landscape.
The initiative demonstrates how creative platforms such as art exhibitions can help generate tangible conservation impact while connecting people to the landscapes and wildlife they care about. By bringing together art, storytelling, and conservation, Frame the Wild has helped raise awareness of the Greater Kruger landscape while generating practical support for conservation efforts on the ground.
